Inspiration: Stuart Levy began reading Manga while working in Tokyo. He became convinced that it was ripe for introduction in America.
About the business: Bring Japanese comics and graphic novels to America. Tokyopop now creates original works as well, including adaptations of popular American franchises, from Star Trek to Spongebob Square Pants. Tokyopop products are sold internationally.
