What they do: Create fashionable shoes for tall women, sizes 6-17.
Inspiration: At 6-feet tall, wearing size 11 shoes, Kathryn Kerrigan had issues with the fashion world that went back to her teenage years. It was simply impossible to find fashionable shoes her size. While pursuing an MBA at Loyola University, she wrote a business plan for her own shoe company.
About the business: Since 2005 she’s been selling her shoes at kathrynkerrigan.com. She designs her shoes and works with European artisans to manufacture them. In addition to global sales via the web, she sells her collections thru designer boutiques across the U.S.
